Cocaine Bear

“Cocaine Bear” is a novel written by David Morrell. The story begins in 1977 and centers on the life of David Morrell, a drug addict who becomes addicted to cocaine, but has troubles keeping it down. He gets laid off from his job and has to take care of his mother and two-year-old daughter. He also has to work long hours at a carpet store to help support himself and his daughter.

David’s mother is a police officer, assigned to the CIA after her husband’s death. The CIA wants David to work for them in their cocaine research facility, but he refuses and is instead given a job as a security guard at a research facility. His new boss is a rich businessman who likes to throw parties for high-level officials, so David ends up spending much of his time at this party, drinking and socializing with some high-level officials.

Soon, though, David learns that some of these officials are involved in a drug trafficking ring, which involves stealing and distributing cocaine in the U.S. David decides to put a stop to the trafficking and bust a couple of dealers. Along the way, he comes into contact with a colorful character-drug pooches, who run an illegal dog farm out of their house and who become a sort of friend and guide to David.

The Strange Adventures Of The Cocaine Bear

But the most interesting element of the novel is the discovery of a grave containing cocaine bears. Although cocaine has been used for centuries as a recreational drug in the U.S., not many people in Kentucky know that the state’s most famous resident, General Robert E. Lee, was born in 1812 in what is now Bowling Green, Kentucky. Legend has it that General Lee ordered the shipment of fifty pounds of cocaine from Cuba to meet a massive supply of tea. It is possible that the cocaine came from this tea, or that it was the result of tea packets that were discovered by a potter while he was trying to complete his last pot of the day.

The story ends with the death of Lee, however, and is resolved ambiguously, leaving the reader uncertain about the exact nature of the meeting between Lee and the cocaine bear. Two decades later, a group of workers from the U.S. Customs Service stumbled upon the body of a young woman who had been missing for quite some time. This woman, identified as twenty-one-year-old Kaliope Chattahoochee, was discovered to have been strangled to death. Legend has it that the cocaine bear and the Pot-bellied Man were somehow involved in her murder. There are many theories concerning the circumstances surrounding her death, but the identity of the Pot-bellied Man remains a mystery to this day.

Although there is no concrete evidence linking the cocaine bear to the crime, some people believe that it may have been a way for them to gain financial advantage. Others say that it was simply a way for them to make their way out of the pawn shop. There are also stories that say that the bear was a creation of greed and that the Pot-bellied Man was actually on parole. Whatever the case is, the cocaine bear remains to be one of the more mysterious stories from Georgia’s Pot-bellied Man’s infamous past. Many people from all walks of life, including the authorities, have stories about their encounters with the creature.
