The Heart Feels No Less – And – Life Is Like Heaven

THE HEART DOES NOT FEEL LESS

The heart does not stop feeling what your years would challenge.

Age is just a count of years.

But what your heart feels is innumerable and not applicable to any period of time.

The heart feels no less, the childish joy of a gift that brings a joy that makes our spirit want to jump for joy.

The heart does not feel less, the emotion that one feels when a certain person ignites that adolescent chill that ignites our inner adolescent with love. Although our age moderates our infatuation with our young selves, it does not dampen the emotion.

The heart feels no less, the glorious splendor of Yosemite; the rejuvenating power of his holiness and magic. Though our bodies may no longer be capable of walking its trails or climbing its mountainous beauty. Our hearts still play and delight under the cottonwoods and along the cool waters of the Merced River. Our eyes look up and we imagine a younger self on the high trails, with dizzying views of the valley below. it is stimulating Age does not influence our thoughts. Our hearts take kidney.

The heart enjoys no less the contagious giggle of a child, or the uplifting warmth of a dog’s goofy grin and tail wagging. Though our years may now prevent us from sharing our world with a child or furry family member, our hearts embrace the laughing boy and devoted dog with precious consideration and virtual arms.

The heart does not feel less, the inspiration of a brilliant sun that dawns, nor the technicolor brilliance of a sunset. The heart feels no less the heart-stopping arc of a red-orange harvest moon. Though our aging eyes may dimly see this, our hearts glorify the works of nature in our mind’s eye.

The years inhabit and weaken our bodies. But it is the heart that gives us life. And it will do it regardless of our years; residing in our spirit and in our soul.

The heart does not feel less. And that is ageless.

LIFE IS LIKE HEAVEN

Some days, dark thunderclouds slowly fill in and move across the sky above; however, exquisite rays of sunlight will illuminate and warm the land below, through the gaps between the clouds.

Life is like the sky – “the drop-down” – which brings terrifying shadows and darkness, light and delicious heat. Clouds and sunlight, like brushstrokes, run through our body, press our soul and awaken our spirit… Life is like that.

Dark clouds are too far away to touch or move, while sunlight is fickle and fleeting. The storm clouds will move away. And the darkness of night can give way to a day resplendent with sunlight.

So why stop at storm clouds? They are too distant to change. Similarly, we cannot hold on to a deliciously warm ray of sunshine, we can only enjoy it. Enjoy it and smile.

Life is like heaven.
